This work reveals that macrophage migration inhibitory factor (MIF) in breast tumor-derived exosomes drives MDSC differentiation and immunosuppression by upregulating MARCO, and demonstrates that targeting MARCO—alone or in combination with PD-1 blockade—effectively reprograms the tumor microenvironment and enhances anti-tumor immunity.
